14.8 Presentation design
A presentation is not the report placed on slides. It should:
- organize slides around conclusions;
- use one main idea per slide;
- replace paragraphs with concise evidence and readable visuals;
- explain technical ideas in plain language;
- connect recommendations to evidence;
- keep technical backup material available; and
- be rehearsed for timing, transitions, and questions.
A slide headline should state the message. “Forecast” is a topic. “Population growth will add approximately 480 annual visits under constant utilization” is an explanatory headline.
