5.6 Receiving and using feedback

Feedback should be recorded and interpreted, not merely collected. For every material comment, record:

  • the comment or concern;
  • the source and date;
  • why it matters;
  • the proposed response;
  • the owner;
  • the due date; and
  • whether the comment was accepted, adapted, deferred, or declined with rationale.

Conflicting feedback may require clarification or escalation. A team should not quietly select the easiest comment while ignoring the one that most affects project validity.
